Children's Liturgy of the Word At the Sunday 10:00 am Mass, preschool through grade one children are invited to attend their own Liturgy of the Word. These children go to the church classroom where one or more adult leaders proclaim the Sunday gospel and lead the children in discussion and activities that "break open" the gospel reading for the children. The children return to the Sunday Mass during the preparation of the altar. |

What Is Scrip? Scrip is a term that means "substitute money:. When you purchase scrip from KCSS, you're purchasing gift certificates that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials. With every purchase, you earn revenue for KCSS and (a) get a deduction off your tuition, (b) a donation for your parish, or (c) you may "Sponsor a KCSS Student" with your SCRIP credits.
How Does It Benefit You? Each participating business will donate back to KCSS a certain percentage of the scrip monies bought from their location. KCSS has approved that half of the money donated will go into a tuition reimbursement account for your child, and the other half will be used for school needs. The reason for the effectiveness of scrip is simple: families produce revenue by making purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, etc. can be purchased with scrip. With tuition going up this is a great way for you to get reimbursements on your account and support Kuemper Catholic School System! |
